This recipe is a super simple way to utilize your leftover morning coffee. Especially useful if you brew your own at home. Make your own creamy oat milk for a dairy free DIY that saves a trip to the grocery store.
Ingredients:
Brewed coffee
Oatmilk
Ice
Sugar or other sweetener (optional)
Rolled oats
Water
Tools:
Blender or food processor
Cheesecloth, a clean towel, or clean t shirt for straining
Glass cup
Reusable straw (optional)
Instructions:
Latte
Fill glass ¾ way with ice
Pour in room temperature leftover coffee about half way, or to desired amount
Fill the rest of the cup up with homemade oat milk
If desired, sweeten with sugar or date syrup
Stir to mix and enjoy!
Oat Milk
Blend 1 cup of rolled oats with 4 cups of water in a high speed blender for 20-45 seconds
Strain mixture through cheesecloth and discard pulp
Seal in a container and store in fridge for no more than 5 days
