Late Day Iced Coffee with Easy Oat Milk

This recipe is a super simple way to utilize your leftover morning coffee. Especially useful if you brew your own at home. Make your own creamy oat milk for a dairy free DIY that saves a trip to the grocery store.


Ingredients:

  • Brewed coffee

  • Oatmilk

  • Ice

  • Sugar or other sweetener (optional)

  • Rolled oats

  • Water


Tools:

  • Blender or food processor

  • Cheesecloth, a clean towel, or clean t shirt for straining

  • Glass cup

  • Reusable straw (optional)


Instructions:

Latte

  1. Fill glass ¾ way with ice

  2. Pour in room temperature leftover coffee about half way, or to desired amount

  3. Fill the rest of the cup up with homemade oat milk

  4. If desired, sweeten with sugar or date syrup

  5. Stir to mix and enjoy!


Oat Milk

  1. Blend 1 cup of rolled oats with 4 cups of water in a high speed blender for 20-45 seconds

  2. Strain mixture through cheesecloth and discard pulp

  3. Seal in a container and store in fridge for no more than 5 days
